Here are my notes from #lawyernomics2016 presentation by Mike Ramsey of Nifty Law:
Talked about change about Google search changes. Got to do PPC and SEO; firms that do both are doing best. Website and content and links and shares are the most important aspects of your webpage. Facebook Instant Articles. Moz Local will tell you how accurate your online listing are. Google Map Maker checks to see if you have more than one listing. Google + is dead. Can leave Google reviews without a gmail listing now.Awesome to know. Google Posts (check this out). Make reviews part of client experience.#1 ranking attorney had 18 reviews. 92% of clients read reviews before hiring an attorney. Mike Ramsey is presenter. “We will refer you another attorney who can help you” (answering negative review). Getting reviews is a function of personally reaching out to clients for reviews.
Link building is pretty important.
Email hunter (gives you the emails associated with any website).
Build local interest site. Divorce index for restaurants.
Build websites for other businesses.

Farhan Naqvi (PI attorney), check out what he’s doing.
How to get recommendations: send them email about the NPS email that will ask for a review, all before the NPS email goes out. Then you can follow up if they don’t leave a review.
